Spool Performance FX-150 High-pressure fuel pump upgrade

Spool Performance is really excited to introduce our latest product offering to the BMW S55 community, the FX-150 high-pressure fuel pump upgrade. We have been testing this for almost a year now and here it is finally!!

What is the FX-150?

The FX-150 is an upgraded high-pressure fuel pump. The pump features a bigger bore size than stock which translates into roughly 50% more flow when compared to stock. The pump is completely E85 compatible and fully plug and play with no cutting or splicing of any kind required. The added flow will let you run much higher ethanol concentrations and also allow fueling for bigger turbos.

Why do you need it

The stock HPFP on the S55 Motors is severely limited in capacity when trying to tune and raise the output of the motor. The FX-150 adds 50% more flow to the equation, raising the fueling limits on the platform and helping you run bigger turbos and/or higher ethanol concentration blends.

What does the kit include?

Our FX-150 kit for the S55 includes

2 x FX-150 upgraded high-pressure fuel pumps

1 x Ethanol Content Monitor with mobile apps

Upgraded Fuel lines and all necessary install hardware

Spool Ethanol Content Monitor

The spool ECA kit for the S55 features a digital readout of in-tank ethanol content and fuel temperature. It includes our SPOOL Ethanol content analyzer app on mobile and readouts are delivered via BLE 4.0 low-energy technology. BLE4.0 allows you to use your regular Bluetooth devices on your mobile devices while being connected to the SPOOL ECA module. Fuel lines used in the kit are braided steel nylon core fuel lines that are 100% E85 compatible.

Are tune changes required?

The upgraded pumps do require calibration changes. It is important to apply these changes prior to starting the car with pumps installed to avoid any possible damage and void of warranty.
