The S2000's forward-mid engine layout limits front overhang but creates heat management challenges under sustained hard use. The OEM cooling shroud handles normal driving conditions, but gaps in the seal become a factor on track or during extended high-load runs where intake temps climb. The AutoTecknic Dry Carbon Fiber Cooling Shroud seals those gaps -- directing airflow through the radiator and intake rather than around them.
Pre-preg construction: resin is impregnated into the fiber before the autoclave cure cycle. No pinholes, no resin voids. The result is a structurally consistent, visually clean part that is lighter than the OEM piece and heat-resistant at the temperatures this position sees. Fitment covers both AP1 and AP2 through the full 2000-2009 production run. Hardware included.
