Upgraded Porsche Glove Box Latch Handle

This is the upgraded version of the latch handle. Unlike the OEM handle, it has no screw hole. That is by design, not a missing feature or a manufacturing defect.

The handle comes without a lock cylinder. You move the lock cylinder from your original handle into the new one, so your existing key keeps working.

Installation Notes

Professional installation is recommended. The handle is reached from the back of the glove box door, so the door has to be taken apart. On some cars it is easier with the glove box out of the dash. If your glove box is stuck shut, get it open first, since the mounting points are only reachable with the door open.

1. Open the glove box and take apart the glove box door to reach the back of the handle.
2. Remove the original handle from the door.
3. Insert your key and transfer the lock cylinder from the original handle to the new one.
4. Fit the new handle into the door.
5. With the glove box still open, test the latch and lock several times so it cannot lock shut on you.
6. Reassemble the glove box door.
